2016: David Bowie, Prince, and Leonard Cohen died. Donald Trump was elected as POTUS. And MRO spend grew just over 1% (excluding Amazon).
Mundane procurement market facts aside, December is a time for reflection and more importantly, prognostication. And nobody enjoys guessing the future more than Jason Busch and Pierre Mitchell, especially in regards to procurement trends and technology. We're lucky to also be joined by keen futurist and VP Dhananjay (D'jay) Nagalkar and Paul Blake, Senior Manager, both from GEP.
We'll plan to cover:
Digital - is all the hullabaloo about "big data" worth the hype?
What a CEO wants - How will procurement departments be measured in 2017 (and how do you stack up?)
Robotics and Artificial Intelligence - separating the hype from reality
2017 Global Trade and Economic Policy - and their effects on procurement
