Buyers Meeting Point launched - February 28, 2008

Buyers Meeting Point, a new social commerce site focusing on procurement professionals, launched today.

The site is the product of Cindy Allen-Murphy located in Boston USA and Harco Bouwman located in Amsterdam Netherlands, both web and procurement pioneers.

Buyers Meeting Point, which will initially cover Europe and the United States, describes itself as “a revolutionary social commerce networking site that provides people the opportunity to make money or get discovered as procurement professional, all while making friends across the world.” The site lets users create online business solutions through which they can sell personal knowledge and creations directly to their customers. The idea, it seems, is to create a social marketplace where users can discover the talents and wares of professionals.
