A generation has passed since the first Earth Day raised the topic of environmental sustainability. Since then, Greenpeace, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and dozens of others have worked to raise awareness of this vital issue. Mission accomplished. Awareness now is no longer the challenge: for 2010 and beyond, sustainability is about execution, and supply chain executives will own it.
