As we creep out of the summer, it is becoming apparent that everyone has been working behind the scenes all summer to plan events. I added a dozen new events to the calendar last week that extend into early October.
If you are planning your procurement event schedule beyond this week, I recommend the IMAGINE Supply Chain Insights Global Summit from September 7-9th. The virtual option will be hosted by the team at Supply Chain Now (join me as I help out with the hosting duties on September 8th!). Click here for details and to register.
If you haven’t already, sign up for our mailing list to be sure you get my weekly recommendations in your inbox each Monday.
August 31st, 10am ET
If you’re a fan of category-specific insights, this is the event for you. Art of Procurement and the team at ProcureAbility are presenting the first event CategoryPalooza, “a summer festival of category ideas and insights” (color dust optional). The full schedule and session descriptions are now available on the event website, so check it out and save your spot!
August 31st, 11am ET
At this point, you’ve no doubt heard talk about the use of automation in procurement – but what about something as specific as ‘sourcing bots?’ Join the Keelvar team to learn how sourcing bots work, what the role is for the humans who use them, and which categories of spend are the best use cases. Speaking of use cases… attendees will see a live demonstration of sourcing bots being applied to the logistics category.
September 2nd, 8am ET
Speaking of automation… do you know the potential that AI, ML, and RPA hold for P2P? (Talk about alphabet soup!) Being able to get value from these technologies will require procurement to know enough about them to evaluate their use and refresh related processes accordingly. Join Dr. Bernhard Schaffrik, Principal Analyst Serving CIO Professionals at Forrester, and Magnus Bergfors, Global Business Director at Basware for this forward-looking webinar.
