January 16-20: 2023 Procurement Trends, Predictions, and Outlook

AdobeStock_fortunegam_20230112-193909_1

In this week’s webinars, ‘outlook season’ continues. Everyone has a perspective to share on what they think the coming year will bring. Personally, I find this quite endearing – especially given all of the disruption and uncertainty of the last three years. Human hope for predictability springs eternal!

If you are planning your procurement event schedule beyond this week, I have another set of predictions to offer you: Forecasting the Future: Executive Predictions for 2023. Join Rujul Zaparde, Founder and CEO of Zip, and Colin Glazier, VP of Solutions Consulting at Zip, as they take the virtual stage with Philip Ideson for the first AOP Live of 2023!

And now for this week’s recommendations…

2023 Trends: What You Need to Know (Workday)

January 18th, 11 am ET

Companies have so many options available when looking to meet talent needs. They can hire, contract, or work with third party service providers. Given the economic climate we’re bound to be working through in 2023, thinking carefully about the best model for each need will be critical. Join RedThread Research co-founders Dani Johnson and Stacia Garr as well as Cristina Goldt, GM of Talent Optimization at Workday, as they talk about high level trends and how ‘people functions’ should respond.

The Procurement Outlook for 2023 – Risk, Digitisation and ESG (Proactis)

January 19th, 6 am ET

If hearing from Peter Smith isn’t enough reason for you to get up early for some 2023 trends, maybe this will be: Peter has written a new whitepaper and everyone who registers will receive a copy. Tune in for his thoughts on managing risk, digitization, and ESG in 2023.

Demystifying Autonomous Sourcing: Concepts, Drivers and Enablers (Fairmarkit)

January 19th, 1:30 pm ET

Is the world ready for autonomous sourcing? Maybe – but first we have to define what that really means! In this webinar, Kevin Frechette, Co-Founder & CEO of Fairmarkit, Amit Fernandes, VP of Product of Fairmarkit, Pierre Mitchell, Chief Research Officer at Spend Matters, and Bertrand Maltaverne, Lead Analyst for Sourcing and Supplier Management at Spend Matters, will bring this concept down to earth and paint a picture of the potential benefits for organizations that embrace its promise.
