Our Recommended Procurement Webinars for November 7 - 11: Panel Palooza

This week’s webinars are an unofficial panel-palooza celebration. From the CFO CPO relationship to the evolving role of robotic process automation at the management level to risk intelligence, this will be a great week for forming or redefining your position on critical topics. Click on the title of each webinar below to view the full description and register or visit the BMP events calendar to see what’s on tap for the rest of the month.

CPO Roundtable: Strategies to Engage the CFO and Make Spend Management a Business Imperative (Ardent Partners)

November 9th 11am ET

I love a good panel, and this one has an advantage in that the moderator, Andrew Bartolini, is qualified to be a panelist – something that should definitely improve the conversation. Andrew is joined by Michael Jacobs, CPO at Staples, David Hearn, former CPO of Juniper Networks and CPO Advisor, and Jack Miles Managing Partner of MainSpring Advisors.

The Great Roboboss Debate (HfS Research)

November 10th, 11am ET

In addition to taking on a somewhat edgy topic, this panel discussion (or debate if you prefer) deliberately calls out its participants into three groups: client leaders, advisors, analysis, professors, and visionaries, and providers and ISV leaders. The topics for this event include ethics, cognitive computing, and the blurry line between fantasy and reality. For this audience, it is notable that the event description asks, “Buyers, if you could start this all over again, what would you do differently?” If you plan to attend this event, remember to block your calendar for 90 minutes rather than the traditional 60.

Big Data to the Rescue: Overcoming the Lack of Visibility to the Threats Lurking in Your Supply Chain (ISM, riskmethods)

November 10th, 1pm ET

When you think about big data and supply chain risk management, it would be easy to assume that the answer is complete automation. In this webinar, riskmethods’ Bill DeMartino and Kasia Katrycz will take on three big challenges related to taking a mountain of data and turning it into actionable information: relevance, intelligence, and total impact. Note: I recently interviewed Kasia Katrycz, riskmethods’ Director of Risk Intelligence on BMP Radio about the balance of humans and machines in the risk intelligence process. You can hear that podcast here.
