AdobeStock_Brexit

Last week was a ghost town, but we’re back in action this week with 8 webinars. It would seem to be feast or famine with the webinar schedule these days. If you like to plan further ahead, I recommend  “Managing Suppliers in a World of Digitalization” on May 10th at 11am from ISM and SynerTrade, but also involving The Hackett Group, RapidRatings, and EcoVadis. Click on the title of each recommended webinar below to view the full description and register.

BTW: If you haven’t already, sign up for our mailing list to be sure you get my weekly recommendations in your Inbox each Monday.

How Brexit will affect UK industry (The Economist Intelligence Unit)

April 10th, 9am ET

In this webinar, Ana Nicholls, Managing Editor of the EIU Industry Briefing, will look at two Brexit scenarios across six key industry sectors. She will consider the implications of the current EIU forecast (a comprehensive free trade agreement with the EU) as well as the alternative, where the UK walks away without a deal on paper.

Creating a Competitive Advantage in Your Supply Chain: Benefits of Financial Health Beyond Evaluating Financial Risk (ISM, RapidRatings)

April 11th, 1pm ET

I love the idea of this webinar – the more holistically procurement can approach anything, especially risk, the more likely we are to have a positive operational impact. Speaking of holistic financial health, we can’t fully understand the relative risk or opportunity if we only look at risk one supplier or company at a time. Instead, we need to consider the financial health of each supply chain. This will require us to increase our visibility multiple tiers in either direction, to better understand the stability of our suppliers and customers (and their suppliers and customers).

Reality Check on Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (HfS Research)

April 12th, 11am ET

In this panel-format webinar, HfS will go beyond the hype associated with enterprise AI and instead focus on (a.) B2B applications rather than consumer-facing ones and (b.) stable examples of where AI can add value, rather than pilot-type one-off projects.
