ACE Strategic Sourcing with: Automation, Collaboration, and Education (SIG, Scout RFP)

June 6th, 11am ET

The tired old trio of people process and technology is definitely due for a makeover… and Scout RFP may have the answer. In this webinar, they will be joined by Rendi Miller, Director of Travel & Procurement at Splunk Inc. to talk about the potential associated with combining Automation, Collaboration, and Education. If automation equates to technology, and education is their way of acknowledging a continued investment in people, then collaboration takes the place of process – a very interesting idea.

Building Procurement Agility with Collaborative P2P (SIG, Tradeshift)

June 8th, 11am ET

In the description for this webinar, Tradeshift makes the bold claim that agility and collaboration are ‘simple’. While I don’t know if that’s the case, their suggestion that collaborative functionality is the next evolution of P2P is interesting. Key on the list of topics to be discussed are the downsides of NOT collaborating and the notion of ‘seamless’ collaboration.

Supply Chain Evolution: Now to 2030 (APICS Atlanta)

June 8th, 12pm ET

Don’t be fooled into thinking that there are regional constraints to this event even thought it is being hosted by APICS’ Atlanta chapter – their events are national caliber. Based on research conducted over a seven-month period, the Material Handling Institute (MHI) has compiled a research report covering four fundamental aspects of the supply chain industry: technology, the consumer, the workforce, and logistics infrastructure. In this webinar, Stephen T. Hopper, PE Founder & Principal, Inviscid Consulting, will present a summary of the study’s findings and offer specific recommendations on how supply chain-dependent businesses can prepare to meet the significant challenges they will face on the road to 2030.
