The contemporary supply management professional is functioning in a challenging environment, with many inherent risks to be mitigated.  The supply contract, which often takes the form of a purchase order, is the primary tool with which the supply management professional can properly allocate these risks between the purchaser and the seller.
Our guest speaker, Ernest Gabbard, JD, will provide an overview of supply risk management and demonstrate its relationship with contract law and contracting.  We will also explore the essential elements of a supply contract with respect to risk mitigation and management.  This will be a practical approach which can be applied in most supply management organizations
