Direct Sourcing: Simplifying the What, Why and How for Enterprises (SIG, MBO Partners)

August 1, 11am ET

This event combines two challenges – one is the talent shortage facing companies. According to the event description (and a report by pwc), “73% of CEOs say it is a threat to their business.” The other is that an increasing number of people are self-employed today. Put those together, and you get a focus on direct spend – not products that will be sold, but independent workers that make it possible for companies to generate revenue from a place off the payroll. This is the first time I have seen the direct/indirect divide applied to services, whether they are considered contingent workforce or outsourcing.

Ensuring International Business Success: How to Build Compliant and Efficient Global AP Processes (Paystream Advisors, Coupa)

August 1, 2pm ET

Managing a global supply chain is one thing, but managing internal invoices, payments, and workflows in a company that spans the globe is quite another. In this webinar, the speakers will review the key findings from PayStream Advisors’ 2017 Global AP Automation research report. The webinar will focus on electronic invoicing trends, variations in invoicing regulations, and localized compliance support.

Risk Briefing and Scenario Planning in an Uncertain World (Economist Intelligence Unit)

August 2, 10am ET

Although this webinar is not tailored to a procurement or supply chain audience, the topic is absolutely on point. Join Robert Powell, the EIU’s Senior Consultant on Public Policy, Politics and Economics (PPEP), for an exclusive webinar on Risk Briefing and Scenario Planning.
